December vacation started

I’m off work til the 18th, and my mother offered to come over and spend a week with my 3 kids to let me and the wife go to Cuba!

So leaving Monday a 5am from Timmins Ontario to Toronto then Cuba.

It’s our first time leaving the country and leaving the kids for more than 24 hours

We are gonna leave from Rouyn-Noranda at midnight Sunday.  We can’t wait to leave our 2 feet of snow behind

I never thought it would either.

We will take advantage of every second we can, cause we both know the next time we can do this just us two is when they all  leave the house.  With 4 kids, 11, 5, 4 and 1.5 we have know idea what just us time is.

After one month of already living under snow, and going from -20c  to +29c will be quite the shock.

My sister in law didn’t take my advice on water there. Drink filtered water only! And if you order a beer/soda and they pull it from a cooler with , order the cheapest vodka shot and dip the top of the bottle in it to kill everything. You can also just carry alcohol wipes but I never remember to do that. I've been to a lot of places and this has kept my stomach pretty content.

Don’t get burned. On m y first trip to Jamaica I got so fried the plane ride home was misery.

Im in Quebec, but we are Less than 100kms from the boarder. I’m about 200kms from Timmins.
